A Family Thing

Child/Family portrait session 2

It was early in the morning on a hot, humid summer day when I met the L family at Sherwood Gardens in Baltimore. I found them in this beautiful setting eating breakfast while sitting on a bench under a tree. Did I mention it was early… We got right down to business and took off our shoes. Add in a beach ball and ready, set, run!! There was a brief interlude in the running to test out some tree climbing skills and then we got right back to running. Once all the running (and plain ole exhaustion set in!) I was able to take a few classic portraits of all the kids. Check them out – they are beautiful!! (The kids!! I meant the kids!!)

Lil Mr N – Newborn Session

Mr N - newborn photography session

This was a newborn session I waited for months to happen! I met Lil Mr N’s mom when she was about 3 months pregnant. It wasn’t to long after that we talked about doing a newborn session. We set it all up 4 months before he arrived! As we got closer and closer to his due date I had to refrain myself from emailing his mom and repeatedly asking “Is he here yet??” Well I can finally say – He’s Here, He’s Here!! Meet Lil Mr. N!

A Wee Bit Busy…

Farm House on Maryland's Eastern Shore

Didn’t she just move last year at this time?” Why yes I did and what a move that was. On a complete leap of faith, not knowing anyone, I moved to Upper Baltimore County, Maryland. I found this sweet, sweet little cottage and set up camp. I loved my little cottage but as time passed I found myself spending more and more time on the Eastern Shore. Queen Anne’s County to be exact. The majority of the people who wove themselves into my life over the last year live down

One For The Books – The Great Cloth Diaper Change Annapolis

Faces from Annapolis Great Cloth Diaper Change

What do you do when you get asked to document “The Great Cloth Diaper Change – Annapolis/Columbia“? You say heck yes! A few weeks back, I received an email from LeeAnne of Macaroni Kid Annapolis – Kent Island asking if I’d like to be part of The Great Cloth Diaper Change. This was an international event to set a world record with Guinness World Records for the most babies ever changed with cloth diapers at the same time. She and Rachel of Greenberries were the sponsors for the Annapolis-Columbia site. How on earth could I say no to that? I remember as a kid pouring over the Guinness Books every time we went to the book store – fascinated by the odd and empowering things people would do just to set a record. To qualify as an official site, we had

Lil Mr G – Newborn Session

16x16

How lucky am I?!? I’ve had a run on newborn sweetness lately and I’m loving it! When I got to the house Lil Mr. G was having a good bake in the sun. He was all warm, toasty and snuggled up. I quickly got to work! Look at his precious little face – can it get any sweeter than that!?! This boy is loved. His Momma just couldn’t stop herself from kissing him, and kissing him, and kissing him… Meet Lil Mr. G! For his Momma
