I’m glad I inspired you! I’ve always used this system to organize my ideas and thoughts. It’s exactly how I use to write all my papers in high school and college! I love that I can move them around into different piles – it helps me to see connections that I would have otherwise missed – or at least taken a whole lot longer to match up!!

Your post inspired me to go out and buy a new, short stack of index cards to sort through ALL the ideas I have swimming in my head. Writing it down, having it stare you back in the face is a great way to see how good or how stupid your idea really is. Thanks for writing this post. And, keep ‘em coming!

I do a big sit down the end of December – beginning of January. Then I periodically check in with them over the year. In July I try to see if I’m on track, what’s completed and if I can add a new idea in. I try to stick to the plan set in the beginning of the year – if I have to many ideas/projects going I get overwhelmed and start spinning trying to get everything done!
