Sometimes right in the middle of a shoot you know you are getting something spectacular. Taylor totally brought it and more to her session. I knew before I even opened up my editing software that I had something special! I met Taylor at the Cracker Barrel on Kent Island days before the school year was to end. She has this bright, bubbly personality and a ton of energy! As with every senior I asked “What is it that make you, you?” She stopped to think about it for a moment, threw a few things out there and then she mentioned theater and the Church Hill Community Theater. Jordan – 2012 Senior Model

Nope, you’re not seeing a repeat, more like a double! Remember a few weeks ago when I introduced you to Jessie and I mentioned she had a twin? Meet Jordan, Jessie’s equally gorgeous twin. Jordan loves all things brightly colored and bold. Her Senior Portrait Session had to have an artistic bend to it. I put my thinking cap on – wandered around Kent Island a bit and found The Kent Island Federation of Arts. They were gracious enough to allow us to come in and use their gallery as a setting. Erin – 2012 Senior Model

Erin - Senior Portrait Session

OMG this was such a fun session! I had put out the call for senior portrait models and Erin was one of the first to answer. As I read over her Senior Model Application, I got all excited about the possibility of working with her and was positive she’d be a great model! We arranged to meet for the first time at Holly’s (where I am quickly becoming a regular!) to go over the details. Erin is one of those great kids who seems to be involved in just about everything at her school. When she told me she was a varsity tennis player for the last three years I instantly knew I wanted to make that a main part of her session! Secretly, you see, I’ve wanted to do a fashion type shoot on a tennis court for years.

Jessie – 2012 Senior Model

So excited to share this next session! Months ago, Jessie’s mom and I had a conversation about how much she’d like me to photograph her two daughters (twins I might add!). It just so happens, they’re both juniors this year and in need of Senior Portraits. I love photographing Seniors! Seniors are so creative and I get a charge out of combining their creative ideas and ideals with mine. There is always an element of fun, excitement and play with these sessions! When I met with Jessie a few weeks ago the one thing that came up, over and again, is her love of design and fashion. I knew right then, her Senior Session had to have flair and fashion sense. We went from dressy, to her favorite shoes and finally favorite outfit. She looks amazing in all of them!
